Ganesh Chaturthi: With the arrival of Ganesh Chaturthi, the 10-day Ganesh festival starts across the country. During this time, house-to-house, street-street, Bappa are installed. Everyone celebrates this festival with pomp for 10 days. Ganesha arrives on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi with the drums and Bappa's farewell done along with the drums. On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, this festival ends with the immersion of Shri Ganesh, the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.

When does Ganesh Chaturthi come?

Ganesh Chaturthi falls on Chaturthi date of Shukla Paksha of Bhado month every year. This time this festival is to be celebrated on Saturday 22 August, according to the English calendar. In view of its proximity, we have brought the right time or auspicious time to establish Ganesha. Establishment of Shri Ganesh in auspicious time is considered auspicious.

Chaturthi Tithi is starting from Friday, 21 August at 11:00 AM. The Chaturthi date will end on Saturday, 22 August by 7.57 pm. You can install the statue of Bappa at home, pandal etc. at any other time by removing Rahu period. The time of 22 hours is 2 hours 36 minutes for the establishment of Bappa. On August 22, Abhijeet Muhurta is from 11:58 am to 12:50 pm, on August 22, from 11:06 pm to 01:42 pm, you can establish Shri Ganesh in auspicious time.

Things to note during the installation…

You should have all the materials of worship. Bappa's idol should face towards east. Take pledge before offering prayers to Bappa and pay homage to Shri Ganesh. Establish Lord Ganesha after chanting. Offer incense, lamp, lamp, cloth, flowers, fruits and modak specially to Shri Ganesh during this period. Finally, Shri Ganesh Aarti should be performed by law.
