Noted American actress Lori Laughlin has been jailed for two months after being proved guilty of cheating in the college admission admission scam. After being jailed, she wept in court, apologizing. She said- I wanted to give undue profits to my daughters for good future. I felt that I was doing good work for my children, but in reality I underestimated my daughters' abilities and successes.
Along with this, Laughlin has also been fined one and a half lakh, and has been instructed to do social service for 10 hours. Laughlin said in court for this work- 'I sincerely apologize. I admit my mistake, and also very embarrassed. I take responsibility for what I did, and now I am ready to bear the consequences as well.
Let us tell you that Laughlin is known for playing the role of Aunt Becky in the hit sitcom "Full House" of 1980s-90s. This college hera-ferry includes 50 more people including Laughlin and her husband. This case is related to the college admissions scam, which is related to bribing students to get admission in top American universities. In the same scam that started in 2011, total 25 million US Dollars were given as bribe. The culprits include three scam organizers, 33 parents, nine coaches, two SAT and ACT administrators, an exam proctor and a college administrator. Also, many universities have removed coaches involved in scams. College singer William Singer is the biggest hand in the scam. Strict action will be taken on all of them now.
