Bhopal: Cabinet approval has been received in Madhya Pradesh for the anti-love jihad bill 'Freedom of Religion Bill 2020'. There are a total of 19 provisions in the new law, under which the police will take action against the family members of the aggrieved party in case of conversion. If a person is found guilty of seducing minor, SC / ST daughters of marrying, then they will be sentenced to two years to 10 years in jail. If a person marries in secret under the greed of money and property, then his marriage will be deemed nullified.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that we have made the most stringent law of the country in our state. This bill will be now brought in the assembly. The session of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly is going to start from 28 December. On comparing this law with UP, Narottam Mishra said that we are not comparing it to anyone, but it is the strongest law in the country. Narottam Mishra said that after breaking such a marriage if a child is already there then it will get the right.

The Uttar Pradesh cabinet passed an ordinance on Love Jihad in November itself. According to the ordinance, there will be a jail term of up to 10 years for the conversion of religion by deception. In addition to this, the District Magistrate will have to give information about two months in advance for conversion.
