Due to the decrease in demand, vehicle sales have again registered a decline last month. The figures presented by the country's major automobile manufacturers during this period were disappointing. Last month, Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of Hinduja Group, saw a decrease of 47% in the sale of all commercial vehicles. During this period the company could sell only 9,231 units, while in the same month of the last financial year, the company had sold 17,386 units.

According to the media report, there was a decrease of 59% in the sales of the company's medium and heavy commercial vehicles. The company has sold only 5,349 units in this category, while in the same month last year, the company sold 13,158 units in this category. In August, TVS Motor vehicles registered a decrease of 15.37 per cent. During this period the company sold a total of 2,90,455 units, while the company had sold a total of 3,43,217 units in the last financial year. TVS mainly manufactures two-wheeler and three-wheelers. During this time the company sold 2,75,851 units of two-wheelers. In the same month last year, the company sold 3,30,076 two-wheelers. During the period under review, the company's motorcycle sales were down by 16.96 percent. At the same time, the sales of scooter fell by 13.73 per cent. However, there was an increase of 5.56 per cent of the total exports of the company. Sales of Bajaj Auto Sales have also come down in August.

The company faces 11 per cent falls in sales. The company sold 3,90,026 units, while in the same month last year, the company sold a total of 437,092 units. Bajaj's domestic sales saw a decline of 19 per cent. The company sold 2,08,109 units in the country, while last year the company was successful in selling 2,55,631 units. There has also been a significant decline in exports of Bajaj.
