India is fighting a war against the coronavirus with the help of lockdown. The outbreak has caused a worldwide outcry. To keep people at home, the Indian government has announced a lockdown across the country. Whereas during this time a report has come out, in which it was told that the use of electricity in the first day of lockdown has been lowest in the country in the last 5 months. This has been revealed in the government's data. During the lockdown only the store of essential goods was allowed to open, due to which all the other trade and offices in the country were locked. Due to this also the use of electricity has reduced.

Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of India, used 3.4% more electricity on an average than the last three weeks on 25 March, while states like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have registered a decrease of more than 40% each. An eyewitness of Reuters said that on the first day of the lockdown in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow, the roads were largely deserted, except for the laborers.

America has become the most infected country with the Coronavirus in the world.
