Now instead of Rs 150, Rs 250 will have to be spent for the regulator. In a release issued by Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum, it has been told that the security amount of 5 kg cylinder has now been increased to Rs 1,150 instead of Rs 800.
The customers of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana have also been shocked by the new rates. If these people double the cylinder on their connection, then the increased security amount for the second cylinder will have to be paid. However, if someone gets a new connection under the Ujjwala scheme, then the security amount for the cylinder will have to be paid as before.
