New Delhi: Ahead of festivals, the general public has suffered a severe setback in inflation. Domestic LPG cylinders have once again become costlier. The prices of non-subsidised LPG cylinders have been hiked once again on Wednesday. Earlier, prices of commercial cylinders of only 19 kg were hiked on October 1.

With the announcement of new prices, the price of non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi-Mumbai has now gone up from Rs 884.50 to Rs 899.50. While 926 in Kolkata and 14.2 LPG kg in Chennai are now available for Rs 915.50. In view of the rising crude oil prices, it is feared that the price of LPG cylinders will cross Rs 1000 this time. This time there was no increase in the prices of LPG on October 1.

On September 1, the price of a non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinder of 14.2 kg was hiked by Rs 25. The price of the gas cylinder was hiked by Rs 25 on August 18. The price of domestic LPG cylinders has increased by Rs 305.50 in Delhi in the last year. Prices had also gone up in July and August. There was no change in the price of domestic cylinders in May and June. The price of the LPG cylinder was cut by Rs 10 in April.
