Expensive LPG cylinder prices rise after milk, know latest price

New Delhi: Rising inflation has added to the woes of the common man amid the corona crisis, which may come as another major setback to the common man today. LPG prices have also gone up from today (1st July, 2021). State-run oil companies have hiked the prices of home-made LPG cylinders by Rs 25.50. With this, the price of LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi has gone up to Rs 834.50. In addition, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Kolkata has now gone up to Rs 861, Mumbai at Rs 834.5 and Kolkata at Rs 850 from today.

Earlier, there was no change in the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder slated for June. There was no change in its price in May. However, the prices of 19.2 kg commercial cylinders had increased by Rs 123.

Why expensive kitchen cylinders:-
Commodity experts said the prices of crude oil and petroleum products are rising rapidly in the international market. India buys 80 percent of its crude oil from abroad. These prices are market linked. In such a situation, the price of petroleum products in the domestic market increases when the prices rise in the international market.

When did the prices gone up this year:-
The price of LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi was Rs 694 in January this year, which was increased to Rs 719 per cylinder in February. The prices have been hiked once again on 15th February, after which it has gone up to Rs.769. Thereafter, on 25th February, the prices of LPG cylinders went up once again, after which the prices went up to Rs. 8.19 per cylinder after the march hike.
