Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra to take up charge of MRC

May 14,2016: Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra will assume charge as the Colonel of Madras Regimental Centre at nearby Wellington on June 1. Chopra is at present General Officer Commanding of 17 Corps.
Incumbent Colonel of MRC, S L Narasimhan, who will demit office on May 31, was today given a warm send off by staff and officials.
An official release said, "Earlier, both Narasimhan and Chopra placed wreaths at the war memorial to pay homage to the martyrs of the Regiment,".
