On Wednesday, Lieutenant General Praveen Bakshi will meet the Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar. Opposition parties have raised question against the appointment of Rawat ad Army chief.

Manohar Parrikar was in Goa for campaigning the BJP but he will return back to Delhi in the morning. An official said "There have been nine cases of supersession in cases related to appointment to services chiefs and seven of them happened under the Congress government while the VP Singh government also did it in the Navy once,".
