Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Microsoft India signed a deal on Monday to create a regulated sector-focused cloud offering that will provide customers with best-of-breed cloud computing and infrastructure services.

L&T and Microsoft will collaborate with a defined selection of large clients in regulated sectors to design architectures and road maps to modernise their traditional data centres to potentially hybrid models and progress their digital transformation goals, in accordance with upcoming laws.

According to a release, the two industry heavyweights will form a collaborative governance committee to identify future platform designs, investments, and commercial/business models to serve the regulated sectors' developing technological requirements under the terms of the memorandum of understanding (MoU).

As the association grows, senior leadership teams from both organisations will be working together on this.
