Lucknow: A young man reached his in-laws and killed his wife. Moreover, when his mother-in-law came to the rescue in the meantime, the young man also fatally attacked his mother-in-law and fled the spot. Locals reported it to the police and police rushed to the spot.

DCP South Ravi Kumar said a man named Anil Dwivedi attacked his wife and mother-in-law. There was some quarrel between the husband and wife. DCP further said that when police reached the spot, they found that the wife had a cut in her throat and had died. The mother-in-law was also injured due to which the police have admitted her to the trauma centre and she is undergoing treatment. Ravi Kumar also said that the man who committed the murder is the husband of the woman who is addicted to alcohol. However, the police have taken the husband into custody.

Anil Dwivedi, a resident of Khasraul in Hardoi, was married to Priya of Kakori and she was in Malhar village. Anil reached the village of his in-laws late on Friday evening. There he started quarrelling with his wife Priya. When the controversy escalated, Anil killed his wife Priya with a sharp weapon. Meanwhile, mother-in-law Anusuiya came to the rescue and the eccentric husband also attacked the mother-in-law and fled the spot.
