Lucknow: To control pollution in Lucknow, capital of UP, burning of coal in restaurants and hotels has been banned. The District Administration has ordered action on hotels, dhabas as well as buildings under construction. Strict action has also been ordered for violation of rules.

In view of increasing pollution in Lucknow district, the use of wood or coal has been banned in restaurants, dhabas, hotels. Orders have been issued to cover the construction sites at the Green Gate. Instructions for strict action have also been given for violation of rules. AQI 375 was filed in Lucknow yesterday.
