Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi has emerged a winner at the box-office. Film on Sunday, minted Rs 14.04 crore to pack a spectacular first-weekend total of Rs 32.13 crore. Earlier on Friday and Saturday, the film collected Rs 8.01 crore and Rs 10.08 crore. With this collection romantic-comedy has now beaten films Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (Rs 22.75 crore) and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (Rs 26.57 crore) to record Kartik’s highest opening weekend ever.

According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film will remain strong today due to the partial holiday of Mahashivratri. Mr Adarsh’s summing up of the film’s business in the tweet. He wrote,” #LukaChuppi emerges a winner... Shows superb growth on Day 2 and 3... Biz doubles at many screens on Day 3... Has ₹ 30 cr+ weekend... The film is written by Rohan Shankar and directed by debutant Laxman Utekar, deals with the concept of live-in relationships. Thanks to its fairly popular star cast and ear-catching songs, the film enjoyed a fantastic pre-release buzz, something which appears to have translated into numbers at the box-office. It also stars Aparshakti Khurana, Vinay Pathak and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles. The word of mouth for the film, though, has been pretty favourable
