He was one of the most loved politicians of the state. People knew him for his generous nature and his firm opinions.

Muthuvel Karunanidhi, the leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) was the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

The world suffered the loss of a dynamic leader on the 7th of August, 2018. Karunanidhi had been suffering from a urinary tract infection and was reported Haematuria after which he was hospitalized in the Kauvery Hospital in Chennai.

M Karunanidhi entered politics at an early age of 14, under the influence and mentorship of Alagiriswamii, a Justice Party leader.

Karunanidhi had started an official newspaper of the party, called  Murasoli.

He was involved in the Kallakudi movement. The movement was aimed at protesting against the alteration in the name of Kallakudi industrial area to Dalmiapuram. The movement brought him to light and helped him to come to power in the state.

 He was also involved in Tamil cinema as a scriptwriter and an actor.

He was also an influential orator due to his command over the Tamil language.

It is worth mentioning that he had a political career of about 5 decades.

He surely was a man who worked relentlessly throughout his life.
