Story of the birth of mother Shailputri - Once Prajapati performed a yajna, he invited all the gods in it, not Lord Shankar. Sati woke up to go to the yagna. Shankarji said that all the gods have been invited, not them. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to go there. Seeing Sati's strong request, Shankarji allowed her to go to the yagna. When Sati reached home, only her mother gave her affection. There was a sense of sarcasm and ridicule among the sisters. There is also a feeling of disgust towards Lord Shankar. Daksha also made derogatory words towards him. This caused Sati grief. She could not bear the insult of her husband and burnt herself by yoga. Due to this, Lord Shankar, distressed by sorrow, made the sacrifice of that yagna. This Sati was born in the next life as the daughter of Shailraj Himalaya and called Shailputri.

Goddess's form -  Durga is first worshipped as Shailputri and she was named Shailputri after being born there as a daughter in the Himalayas. Let me tell you that their vehicle is Taurus, so this goddess is also known as Vrisharuedha.
