Madame Tussauds, the world famous wax statue centre, which attract millions of people and notably known in the world is going to open here in India also. Madame Tussauds planning to open a new branch in New Delhi to coincide with the 70 year of India’s Independence in 2017.

According to Alex Cameron, marketing manager for Madame Tussauds told media that ““Madame Tussauds Delhi is planned to be the first Merlin attraction to open in India, and the aim is to coincide its opening with next year’s Independence celebrations Tussauds houses 20 such attractions across the world, all different from each other as they are tailored to the local market for a “host city vibe.” Tussauds invited Mr. Modi since he is “one of the most requested politicians” by guests at the attraction in 2015 and his 10 million twitter following, Mr. Cameron said.

Recently, the tussauds decided to add Prime Minister Narendra Modi to its world leader collection of wax celebrities. In London Mr. Modi wax statue will be displayed in the world leader section.
