Dehradun: Uttarakhand BJP unit president Madan Kaushik has made a big claim that BJP will win more than 60 seats under the leadership of young CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in the 2022 assembly elections. Talking to reporters after CM Pushkar Dhami and his cabinet took oath on Sunday evening, state party president Kaushik said the BJP has proved in four and a half years that the BJP is a party dedicated to development and has a positive mindset.

Addressing a meeting in the presence of BJP National General Secretary and state in-charge of party affairs Dushyant Kumar Gautam and other leaders of the organisation said, "The constitutional crisis in the state led to a change of leadership, but the BJP is a party where it does not matter to development works. Development works in the State are progressing at a smooth pace".

Pushkar Dhami, 45, a two-time MLA from Khatima in Udhamsingh Nagar district, was sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of the state on Sunday itself. He has got the command of the state at a time when only a few months are left for the assembly elections. Kaushik said, "There is enthusiasm among the people and workers. The kind of expectations from the young and energetic leadership will give the BJP a huge majority".
