A 22-year-old boy, allegedly raped a 22-year-old girl, in a village near Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh and later strangled her to death. Inspector Rajaram Dubey, in-charge of Panagar police station of the district, told today that the 16-year-old girl living near Tilgwan was in love with Amit Verman, who is a resident of Sundarpur. The young man gave the teenager a mobile phone to talk to him. 

On being informed about the relationship between the two people, the family members took away the phone and the boy was not able to talk to the girl. He told that the Amit was sad and angry as he was not able to talk to the girl for many days. He was not able to tolerate this anymore.

Then, he went to her house at night and attacked his family. To escape this, the family members ran away and the boy attacked the girl with a knife and then injured her and after which he killed her. Girlfriend's sister was also injured in this attack. They informed that on receiving the information of the incident, the police immediately siege and arrested the youth on charges of murder. The matter is being examined in detail.
