Balaghat: Police have recently recovered a large consignment of fake currency notes at Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh. Police have reportedly busted a gang from this side. Police say they have recovered fake 5 crore notes. In addition, 8 persons have also been arrested. The seized notes are said to include notes ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 2,000. The gang that has been caught was operating fake notes in Balagat and Gondia in Maharashtra.

Out of 8 who habe been arrested under the case, 6 are from Balaghat and 2 from Gondia. In this case, the police say that these fake notes may also have a naxal connection. At the same time, Balaghat SP Abhishek Tiwari said last Sunday that "fake notes were reported to have been consumed in Behar and Balaghat. This was followed by an operation with the Behar police for two days. Six accused from Balaghat were caught with fake currency notes worth Rs 8 lakh.''

Police said, in the interrogation, the accused have confessed to supplying fake currency notes from Godiyan district of Maharashtra. After all this, Balagat police with the help of Gondia police have also arrested two other accused. According to police, the accused have confessed to the crime. Earlier also four persons were arrested in March with a consignment of fake currency notes.
