Former MLA Babulal Mevra of Vijaypur Vidhansabha of Sheopur district along with hundreds of his supporters has taken up the suppression of the BJP. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has accepted party membership to Mevra and his supporters. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' is in Madhya Pradesh these days. Today is the fifth day of travel in the state on Sunday (November 27).
But, in the midst of this visit of Rahul, Congress got two major setbacks. Last Friday, one of the most trusted people of former CM Kamal Nath, his media coordinator Narendra Saluja left Congress and joined BJP. After this, on Saturday, veteran leader of Congress Sheopur and former MLA of Congress from Vijaypur Assembly Babulal Mevra along with his 700 supporters joined BJP. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar welcomed all the people who joined the party, including the former MLA, at the BJP's worker conference held in Vijaypur.
After joining BJP, senior leader and former MLA Babulal Mevra said that he had moved to BSP and then to Congress after getting upset with the party, but he is a nationalist. A day earlier, he had made up his mind to resign from the Congress party after 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans were raised during Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that he will remain in BJP till his death.
