Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has bagged 1st position and Chhattisgarh 2nd on outstanding performance in National Nutrition Mission. Under ICDS and CAS implementation, Madhya Pradesh will be awarded a prize of Rs 1 crore while Chhattisgarh will get a prize of Rs 50 lakh for the second position. Chhattisgarh will also be awarded the National Award.

Chhattisgarh has secured the second position in two different categories of nutrition campaign across the country, for which the state government will be given Rs 50-50 lakh and citations, while Durg has been chosen as the best district in the state. The award will be given to Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh on Friday at the Ashok Hotel in New Delhi.

The award is given by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development for which Women's Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin has arrived to attend the Iranian Nutrition Campaign Awards 2019 programme. where she will be awarded the Nutrition Award to both the regions. Chhattisgarh will also receive the National Award for the event. Chhattisgarh will be awarded the National Award under 2 different categories.
