Bhopal: Police has killed two female Naxalites in an encounter in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. Both women naxalites are being told as hardcore naxalites belonging to the Malajkhand Area Committee operating on the borders of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. This encounter in the forest of Borgaon of Kiranpur police station in Balaghat district started late on Friday night and continued till Saturday morning. In this encounter, the killed Naxalites have been identified as Shobha and Savitri. Both were active in the Naxalites for the last 15 years.

State-of-the-art rifles and other items looted from military forces have been recovered from the capture of women killed in the encounter. The police has seized all the goods found by the two female Naxalites. Both were residents of Bastar and Gadchiroli in Chhattisgarh. On giving information, Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari said that we had received information that about 25 Naxalites have come to Borgaon in Kirnapur to carry out a major crime. On this information, our different teams left for the spot. Where there were two encounters with Naxalites on Friday night and Saturday morning.

The search operation in the area has been intensified after the police encounter with Naxalites. There is a possibility of more Naxalites getting injured or killed in this encounter. Police is conducting extensive search operations covering the entire area. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh have dozens of cases registered on killed female Naxalites.
