Bhopal: Results have begun for the 28-seat assembly bye-election in Madhya Pradesh. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) continues to lead, which has won 17 seats while the Congress has won four seats. The results of the remaining seats are yet to come. At the same time, it has become clear that the BJP government will remain in the state.

It may be noted that in the month of March, Jyotiraditya Scindia had left the Congress with 22 MLAs and came to the BJP, after which three more MLAs had also subscribed to the BJP.    Politically knowledgeable it is a major victory for Shivraj and Rajya Sabha member Jyotiraditya Scindia from BJP. Because it was a question of credibility for Scindia to prove himself in this election after the Kamal Nath government was demolished.

Three seats were vacant in the passing away of three existing MLAs. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and former CM Digvijay Singh accused him of tampering with EVMS, cm Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted sharply and said he was not accepting the truth. On the other hand, Congress workers made a ruckus by accusing them of fake counting in Indore.
