New Delhi: The country has received heavy rainfall during this monsoon. Madhya Pradesh is also one of the states where there has been excessive rainfall. Due to heavy rains, many districts of the state were hit by severe floods. Due to which there is a huge loss of life and property. In this connection, the Head of State, Kamal Nath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, he submitted a memorandum to PM Modi regarding the damage caused due to heavy rains and floods in the state. CM Kamal Nath met PM Modi at the Prime Minister's residence for about an hour.

After submitting the report to PM Modi, he said that "I discussed with the Prime Minister about excessive rains in the state". The meeting of CM Kamal Nath took place a day after seeking central assistance to compensate for the loss due to heavy rains and floods. The Prime Minister's Office tweeted a picture of the meeting in which Kamal Nath is seen handing over a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that the farmers have been badly affected due to the floods and their crops have been ruined, roads have been damaged, buildings and other infrastructure have been severely damaged. Production of soybean, maize and cotton has declined drastically. He said that PM Modi assured that he would consider it seriously. It is believed that about 11 thousand 906 crore rupees have been lost in the floods in Madhya Pradesh.
