Madhya Pradesh: Congress delegation meets Governor Anandiben Patel to stake claim to form the government

The grand old Congress party delegation met Governor Anandiben Patel to stake claim to form the government as Bahujan Samaj Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party on Wednesday extended their  support to the Congress in Madhya Pradesh .

Narendra Saluja, Congress leader after meeting MP Governor said , “We have met Governor and staked claim to form Govt, we have the support of 121 MLAs, the situation is clear”.

Worth mention here Congress fell short of a majority in Madhya Pradesh by just two seats with this short of a majority, Congress needed two seats to get a hold to the magic figure of 116.

Earlier BSP supremo Mayawati said if there will need, the BSP will support the Congress in Rajasthan also to form the next government. "We don't agree with the ideology of the Congress. But we will support it to keep the BJP out of power," she stated.

On the other hand SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also confirmed its support to the Congress. In a micro blogging website Twitter on Wednesday, the SP chief wrote: "Samajwadi Party extends support to the Congress to form a government in Madhya Pradesh."
