She was admitted to Indore hospital for treatment on April 15, but she could not win the battle with the virus and passed away. In fact, Congress MLA Kalawati Bhuria became an MLA in 2018 after winning the election from Jobat Assembly for the first time. She had earlier served as the President of Jhabua Zilla Panchayat for 4 consecutive terms. On her demise, CM Shivraj tweeted: "The passing away of Smt.
