Mandlanda: Four innocent children were killed in a tragic accident in Mandlah district of Madhya Pradesh. All the four children have died due to drowning. Another child has been rescued and has been admitted to hospital for treatment. The condition of the child is said to be critical. The children killed in the incident include two sisters. All the deceased children were residents of Nayatola Ward No.15 of Bichia Nagar.

The incident is reported to be from Urdali, a village of Dalwara, bordering Bichia Nagar in Mandla district. While seven children fall in pit-filled water while playing. Five of the children, who were excited to see the water, jumped into the pit to take a bath, killing four children on the spot. A child has been rescued by the people who rushed to the spot after hearing screams.

Hearing the screams of the children, a young man working in the field rescued a child who has been admitted to a community hospital in critical condition. As soon as the incident was reported, the district administration and regional legislators rushed to the spot and announced a compensation of Rs 4-4 lakh to the victim's family. On the other hand, Chief Minister Kamal Nath and former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan have expressed condolence over the incident.
