The government has decided to take big steps in the interest of employees. From July 2020, annual increments are being given to about one million employees. This will bring an additional financial burden of Rs 540 crore annually on the government.

Due to Corona casualty in the state, the employees were banned from giving arrears of the third and final installment of the seventh pay scale. Earlier, the decision to increase the 5% dearness allowance was withdrawn. Due to this, the government has saved about two thousand crore rupees.

In this regard, sources say that some officials wanted that the annual increment to be given from July 1 should be postponed for some time in the time of crisis, but this was clearly refused. It is also being told that from July 1, the file for giving an annual increment of around 3% has been put forward.
