Katni: A gang of three thieves in Katni, Madhya Pradesh started with a blast, but in the end, their plans got spoiled. The gang of thieves had arrived to rob cash from an ATM. The thieves first broke the ATM using the detonator but they got only Rs. 10,000  from the ATM machine.

According to the information received, On Saturday i.e. November 23, 2019, the thieves targeted an ATM of Central Bank of India in Bakal village. At around 2'o clock in the afternoon, they arrived the place to steal. This is the third time in Madhya Pradesh since June this year that thieves have used explosives and detonators to open an ATM machine.

ATM robbery in Khargone, Jabalpur and Now Katni: According to the sources, the gang members responsible for the incident on Saturday were caught on CCTV but police failed to find the clues of the 3 thieves seen in the CCTV footage so far. It has been in the same manner, in June this year, thieves robbed two ATMs located at a distance of 650 km from each other. The first such incident took place in Khargone district on June 2, and four days later, in Jabalpur, thieves have carried out similar ATM robbery.

SIT set up to investigate the three incidents: In Jabalpur, two masked thieves caught in the CCTV camera of Bank of Maharashtra were seen blasting the ATM machine with explosives. The crooks escaped after robbing 6.38 lakh rupees from the ATM. 3.3 lakh rupees currency was burnt in the fire caused by the explosion. During the investigation of the incident, black explosive substances and detonators were found inside the ATM. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate these three incidents of ATM theft.
