Ratlam: During the deluge in Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, pictures of rescuing other people trapped in the flooding in their village have been exposed, putting their lives at risk amid their devastation. These pictures reveal the courage of villagers and the story of the bravery of many unseen heroes. Actually, in Badari village of Mandsaur, there was only water all around after the spurt of Shivna.

Villagers gathered to evacuate more than 10 people trapped in the water. But there were no means available for commuting. In such a situation, the youth and women of the village jointly prepared a self made boat with the help of two plastic drums. This boat could save only a few people. The villagers could not go far in the deep water, then the villagers took ropes from their houses, took ropes from their houses and built wooden rafters.

This effort of the villagers was successful and more than 10 people trapped in the midst of flood were taken out safely.
