Entire family jailed for killing five people, police responsible for taking care of 'Sultan'

Sagar: The security of a family pet dog imprisoned in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh on murder charges has come to the fore. The staff of the small Bajaria police post is now being looked after by the criminals as well as the 'Sultan'. According to the police, five members of another family were killed by a family in a dispute between two families on June 21 last month in the small Bajaria police outpost area of Bina town.

The police then detained the family of the accused Mohan Ahirwar and sent him to jail on June 22. Now, after the whole family went to jail, 'Sultan' was hungry for three days. After Mohan Ahirwar's family went to jail on murder charges, people living in the Ganesh ward refused to keep the Labrador dog 'Sultan' of the species. Manisha Tiwari, in-charge of the police post, told the press that " the family dog in the jail has been brought to the checkpoint and the staff of the outpost are looking after it."

Now the police post has become Sultan's home, where Manisha Tiwari, the in-charge of the post and the entire staff, have started treating her as a family member. The Sultan is sometimes given milk-bread to eat bread as well as other items. Throughout the day, the Sultan also jumps into the outpost premises.
