Khandwa: In the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, 3 sisters of the tribal community have committed suicide by hanging themselves from a tree. The case took place at Kota Phalya in Bhamgarh village under Jawar police station. The three sisters have been identified as Sona, Savitri and Lalita. Their father died about four years ago. Police are currently investigating the case.

Khandwa Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh said the bodies of Sonu (23), her younger sisters Savitri (21) and Lalita (19) were found hanging from a rope snare on the tree. Vivek Singh said that their father passed away about four years ago. They lived with her mother at Kota Phalya in Bhamgarh village. He said there were a total of 8 people in the family in addition to the mother. They have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Singh said that the police and forensic team at Arbhink investigation believe that the trio had committed suicide. However, the police are investigating from all angles and the real cause of their death is being ascertained.

According to the news information received, all the people ate dinner at night and went to sleep. In the meantime, the three sisters left the house at night and put the door latch from outside. Sonu was studying in college. Savitri was married and Lalita was the youngest. The SP said that on receipt of the information, the Jawar police reached the spot and with the help of the villagers, the bodies were unloaded from the tree. Singh said the bodies had been sent for postmortem. Police have registered a case and are investigating the case.
