Bhopal: Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana program is scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to be addressing the event. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has recently addressed the ministers even before the Council of Ministers met. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana program to be held in the state on 7th August is an ambitious program of the State Government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the function. Ministers and officials from other states are coming to Madhya Pradesh to attend the program.''

At the same time, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said, "Anna Utsav will be organized at all 25,435 fair price shops in the state on 7th August. Ration material will be distributed in bags to 100 beneficiaries at each shop. The event should be ensured following the precautions of Covid-19. A nodal officer should be appointed for each shop.''

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join virtually at 11 am with the event which begins at 10 am on August 7. The program will also be linked to the public through electronic social media along with the beneficiaries present at all fair-price shops. The Minister-in-charge should ensure necessary coordination for the preparation of the program in his district.''

The Chief Minister further said, "There is a need for continuous vigilance in the state over corona infection. It is a matter of concern that cases of corona infection are on the rise in the Sagar division. There are 139 active corona infection cases in the State. There are cases of corona infection in 9 districts of the State, Sagar, Bhopal, Damoh, Indore, Rajgarh, Balaghat, Chhatarpur, Jabalpur, Satna. There are no corona infection cases in the remaining 43 districts. 70 to 75 thousand tests are being conducted daily in the state. The vaccination drive is continuing. 2 crores 78 lakh people in the age group above 18 years have been given the first dose and 53 lakh persons have been given the second dose.''
