This case is related to the Usri Chatti incident. The father of the deceased Manoj Rai has registered this case. Mukhtar Ansari and Congress:-

Mukhtar Ansari has old family relations with Congress, and the gangster's grandfather Mukhtar Ahmed Ansari has been the National President of Congress. And Hamid Ansari, who was the Vice President of the country for 10 years, is Mukhtar's uncle. Hamid Ansari was also accused of putting the lives of RAW agents in danger when he was the Vice President. The result of these relations with the Congress was that the Congress government of Punjab made every possible effort to keep Mukhtar in its jail. It was later revealed that the Punjab government was giving VIP treatment to Mukhtar in jail. Harjot Singh Bains, a minister in the AAP government in Punjab, had claimed that the previous Congress government gave VIP treatment to Mukhtar in jail and spent Rs 55 lakh on amenities. Mukhtar remained locked in Punjab jail for 2 years and 3 months. Later, on the orders of the court, Mukhtar was shifted to Banda Jail in UP.
