Maharana Pratap, the great Hindu ruler of Mewar, passed away on this day. He was the Rajput ruler of the sixteenth-century who had succeeded in continuously bumping Akbar. Today is his death anniversary. Maharana Pratap was born at Kumbhalgarh in Rajasthan. He was born on May 9, 1540, and he was a ruler who learnt about war skills from his mother. It is said that the battle of Haldighati fought between Maharana Pratap and Mughal emperor Akbar is the most famous. This war is considered destructive like the Mahabharat war. Neither Akbar won nor Rana was the loser in the Battle of Haldighati.

During that, the Mughals had the highest military power and Rana Pratap was the ruler who had no dearth of a belligerent power. He is said to have a javelin weighing 81 kg and the armour on his chest weighed 72 kg. The weight of his spear, armour, shield and two swords together was 208 kg. It is said that Maharana Pratap had only 20000 soldiers in the Battle of Turmeric Valley and Akbar had 85000 soldiers. Even after all this, Maharana Pratap did not give up and fought for freedom. During that time, Akbar had sent six peace envoys to convince Maharana Pratap that the war could be ended peacefully, but he said every time that the Rajput warrior could never tolerate it. '

Maharana Pratap, however, also had a horse called Chetak. Chetak was also brave enough and it is said that during the war, the Mughal army was lying behind him, Chetak crossed the drain several feet long by sitting Maharana Pratap on his back. Even today, there is a mausoleum of Chetak in the Haldighati of Chittar. Today, on the death anniversary of Maharana Pratap, we pays tribute to him.
