Maharashtra: 14 Injured In Cylinder Blast In Dharavi

A cylinder blast in Dharavi at around 12.30 p.m. on Sunday injured at least 14 persons. According to preliminary reports, there was a cylinder leaking that caught fire.

The incident occurred in Dharavi's Shahu Nagar. Officials reported that two of the 14 wounded persons had burns that were more than 70% burns, while the other 12 had minor burns. Following the explosion, firefighters rushed to the site and initiated firefighting operations. Two fire engines and one giant water truck, as well as civic ward level employees, were sent to the site.

The fire was put out at 12:43 p.m., according to a Mumbai fire department officer. The injured were taken to Sion hospital. The exact cause of the gas cylinder blast at the house in Dharavi is yet to be ascertained.
