Mumbai: Police have arrested a man who threatened to kill Aditya Thackeray, a minister in the Maharashtra government and son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The 34-year-old criminal has been arrested by the West Regional Cyber Police from Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. The criminal has described himself as a fan of Sushant Singh Rajput. He alleged that Sushant was killed by Aditya Thackeray. The criminal had sent threatening messages to Thackeray's WhatsApp and also made 3 threatening calls. Aditya however never received these calls.

According to police, the criminal had sent threatening messages on Aditya Thackeray's WhatsApp at midnight on December 8. The criminal had blamed Aditya Thackeray for the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The criminal then called Aditya Thackeray thrice. Thackeray did not receive his unknown calls. A complaint in the case was lodged with the police.

The same criminal sent a threatening message and wrote, 'You killed Sushant Singh Rajput.' The criminal had also abused Aditya Thackeray. The cyber police had taken technical assistance to reach out to the culprit. Police came to know that the culprit is in Bengaluru. The police laid a trap and arrested him. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his home in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. Media reports said that the actor has committed suicide but the death toll is yet to be solved.
