Solapur: Assembly elections are due in Maharashtra in a few months. The politics there is being heated. The Home Minister and BJP President have taunted Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan. He has taken a dig at the Congress and NCP leaders joining the ruling party. Home Minister Shah said that if BJP opens its doors completely, no one will be left in their parties except Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan. Shah was saying these things in Solapur, which is the home district of senior Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Shah was in the Solapur city of South Maharashtra to mark the conclusion of the second leg of the 'Mahajanadesh' yatra launched by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis. Pawar is the head of NCP while Chavan is a Congress leader and former Chief Minister. Several NCP leaders from both parties have joined BJP and Shiv Sena. Amit Shah challenged Rahul Gandhi and Sharad Pawar to clarify their stand on the withdrawal of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah said that Maharashtra is the first state where elections are due after the end of Articles 370 and 35 (A). Shah said that I want to ask Rahul Gandhi and Sharad Pawar before going to the election campaign in Maharashtra to clarify our stand on our decision to abolish Articles 370 and 35 (A) of the Constitution. Opposition parties are accusing the BJP of showing fear and greed to involve leaders in its court.
