Maharashtra elections: CM Fadnavis targets Sharad Pawar, calls him Sholay film jailer

Mumbai: A war of words is at its peak among leaders over the Assembly elections in Maharashtra. There are only a few days left in the election. In this episode, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has targeted NCP Chief Sharad Pawar. He compared Pawar to the jailer of Sholay. In the movie, this character was played by actor Asrani. The chief minister was campaigning for Vishnu Savara's son and BJP candidate Dr Hemant Savara in Vikramgarh on Thursday. Vishnu is currently an MLA from Vikramgarh and is not contesting this time due to ill health.

CM Fadnavis said, 'NCP has become a Nano party and Pawar is looking helplessly shrinking his party. We want the NCP Congress Government to give us an account of our 15 years of work and then we will inform them of the NDA coalition government. We have worked successfully in the last five years and it will continue.

The CM said that the NDA government is committed to the development of Johar-Mokhra-Vikramgarh and we will be elected again. We will build a 200-bed hospital in Johar and also start a medical college. The tourism potential of the region will be fully utilized. In Maharashtra, voting is to be held on October 21 and counting on 24. The main fight is between the NDA and the UPA alliance.
