Mumbai: The two-day Monsoon session of the Maharashtra Assembly began with uproar last Monday. The commotion continued throughout the day. On the other hand, Maharashtra Finance Minister Ajit Pawar said in the State Legislative Council last Monday that "The Central Government owes GST compensation of Rs 30,352 crore to Maharashtra".

last Monday, after introducing the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Bill (Amendment) 2021, he said, "The Centre should seriously consider the outstanding compensation. Ajit Pawar also said on the Bill, "The GST (Goods and Services Tax) Council under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman meets regularly and some decisions are taken. The members of the Councils include the Finance Ministers of the States".

At the same time, he said, "After taking decisions, the Centre first implements them and later states need to pass those decisions in their legislatures. So, this Bill was introduced in the Legislative Council and passed by all. The total GST compensation of Maharashtra in 2019-20 was Rs. In 2020-21, the arrears increased to Rs. 9,130 crore in 2021-22 (April to May). 30,352 crore".

The names of suspended BJP MLAs are Parag Alwani, Ram Satpute, Sanjay Kute, Ashish Shelar, Abhimanyu Pawar, Girish Mahajan, Atul Bhatkalkar, Shirish Pingle, Jayakumar Rawal, Yogesh Sagar, Narayan Kuche and Kirti Kumar Bhandia.
