Mumbai: During Navratri, Ramlila and other festivals, there are revelations of a conspiracy to carry out terror attacks across the country. The ATS has now launched a major operation in Mumbai after the arrest of six terrorists who were plotting the plans by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. As part of the information received, a suspect has been nabbed from Jogeshwari in Mumbai this morning (Saturday, September 18) in a joint operation by Maharashtra ATS and Crime Branch. The arrested suspect is said to be Zakir. Let me tell all of you that Zakir's name has come to light in the interrogation of Jan Mohammad Sheikh, who was arrested from Mumbai by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. After receiving this information, this information was conveyed by Delhi Police to Maharashtra ATS.

Zakir was now arrested by the Mumbai ATS from his Jogeshwari house. Let me tell you all that this suspect named Zakir is believed to be the handler of Jan Mohammad and was in constant touch with Jan Mohammad. Police say they suspect that it was Zakir who asked Jan Mohammad to bring weapons to Mumbai. Let me tell all of you that on 14th September, six terrorists were arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police.

All of them were plotting terror attacks in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Delhi. One of the six terrorists is said to be from Dharavi in Mumbai. Mumbai's Jan Mohammad Sheikh alias Sameer Kalia was arrested from Kota in Rajasthan on his way to Delhi from Mumbai. It is also learnt that the family of Jan Mohammad Sheikh was also taken away by the police for questioning. It is also reported that Jan Mohammad's wife has given several important information to the police in the interrogation.
