Maharashtra bandh:  Whole State in chaos, Opposition approached adjournment motion in Parliament

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Jan. 3 (NT): While Maharashtra is on edge of the statewide shut down called by the Dalit groups protesting in opposition to the violence at Bhima-Koregaon, the Congress party has approached an adjournment motion notice in the Parliament today.

Angry dalit protestors strike the street in a number of districts of the state, creating much stress Dalit area. They even stopped the progress of buses, auto-rickshaws at Lal Bahadur Shastri Road in Thane.

Outsized numbers of protesters occupied the railway tracks at Nallasopara Station and made seditious the normal rail traffic.

The Western Railways authority is deep-rooted that the administration and security forces are putting all efforts to normalize the train operations in the state.

Several schools in Thane has also shut down taking into consideration "the safety and security of students."

Apart from this, commuters have been left high and dry due to lack of mode of transport in the state today. Many of people were witnessed waiting near Thane's Vartak Nagar.

 Section 144 has been forced in Maharashtra's Thane region till midnight of January 4, due to the statewide shutdown called by the Dalit outfits, protesting in opposition to the Bhima-Koregaon violence (NT).
