Mumbai: There is speculation that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh will leave the country. He is on the radar to be investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the Antilia bomb case. Maharashtra's politics has been heated up over the issue and a heated battle has erupted between the BJP and the Congress. The Congress party has attacked the BJP saying that like Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi and Vijay Mallya, the BJP has the conspiracy to drive Param Bir Singh out of the country.

Congress leader Sachin Sawant has said that if Param Bir Singh went out of India, there should be an inquiry into the role of BJP in it. The Congress leader has alleged that Param Bir Singh had been on the BJP's agenda since its beginning. NIA's report revealed that Sachin Vaze was only reporting to Param Bir Singh. Even after such things, if Param Bir Singh escapes, it is the weakness of the investigating agency. The state government was taken aback by the BJP before Congress. BJP leader Ram Kadam had said that what the state government is claiming is his habit to blame every deficiency at the Centre.

The BJP said Param Bir Singh's allegations of bribery against the minister were brought to the fore. In such a situation, the state government has to respond to this issue. Param Bir Singh was removed as commissioner after the Antilia controversy. He had been on leave since May, after which he was treated and the holidays increased. Now, recently, there have been apprehensions from the Maharashtra government that Param Bir Singh has left the country.
