Mumbai Police has filed a recovery case against former police commissioner Param Bir Singh. In fact, apart from Param Bir Singh, police have also filed FIRs against seven others. The FIR includes 2 civilians and 6 policemen. Let me tell all of you that these policemen include the name of Akbar Pathan, DCP, Mumbai Crime Branch. In fact, the police have arrested two civilians, including Sunil Jain and Punmiya.

Police are said to have registered an FIR at Mumbai's Marine Drive police station. Let us also tell all of you that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh has been fined Rs 24 lakh for using government accommodation even after he was transferred from 2015 to 2018. G Darsal Parambir was using 2 government houses when he was the Police Commissioner of Thane. Parambir Singh was fined 54 lakh 10 thousand 545 rupees till 2018, out of which he has paid 29 lakh 43 thousand rupees but still 24 lakh 66 thousand rupees are yet to be paid.

Param Bir Singh was staying at Neelima apartment in Malabar Hill during that time. Some sources say that the fine of Rs 24 lakh can be recovered from their salaries or from post-retirement money. Let us also tell you that Param Bir is currently DG's home guard. In fact, Param Bir Singh had made corruption allegations against senior NCP leader and then Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in the past. The controversy escalated following his allegations and Anil Deshmukh had to resign a few days later.
