Mumbai: Maharashtra is suffering from floods due to heavy rains these days. Many parts of the country are in the grip of floods these days. The worst affected in the south is Kerala, Maharashtra in the west. There has been a lot of loss of life and property in these States. Meanwhile, the government, as well as private hands, are moving forward to help the flood victims. In this connection, Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to assist in rehabilitation work in flood-hit Maharashtra.

Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani, gave a cheque to CM Fadnavis. Amitabh Bachchan also contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The actor had earlier contributed to the rehabilitation work in the flood-hit areas of Assam besides paying farmers' debts. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis thanked Reliance Industries Limited and superstar Amitabh Bachchan via Twitter for their contribution.

"Thanks to Reliance Industries Limited for its contribution of Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for providing relief to the flood in Maharashtra!," CM also shared a photo with the tweet. Fadnavis also thanked superstar Amitabh Bachchan, saying, "Thank you Big B, your contribution will inspire us to help and contribute to our rehabilitation efforts for flood-affected districts like Kolhapur, Sangli, and Satara." Earlier, great batsman, Sachin Tendulkar had also appealed to the fans for help from the flood victims.
