Maharashtra government has given a big gift to the farmers, 1.5 crore food providers will get benefit

Mumbai: The Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra made two big announcements today (May 30) for the farmers of the state. In the cabinet meeting, the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Scheme has been given the green signal. Now under this scheme, the Maharashtra government will provide assistance of 2 thousand rupees to the farmers in a year.   Along with this, the Maharashtra Cabinet has also approved the proposal related to farmers to take the benefit of crop insurance for 1 rupee.

According to the report, giving a big gift to the farmers, the Shinde cabinet has approved these two schemes on Tuesday. These two schemes were announced by the state government in the budget session of the assembly. Now both these schemes have also been approved in the cabinet meeting. Under the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Scheme, the Maharashtra government will provide financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year to the farmers. In fact, the central government already gives an honor fund of Rs 6,000 per year to the  farmers. Now if these assistance given by the central and state government are combined, then the governments will provide financial assistance of Rs 12,000 per year to the farmers.

Under this scheme, the state government will give money to the farmers in three installments. That is, this amount will be delivered to the farmers in three installments of 2-2 thousand taxes. This scheme will cost the government Rs 6900 crore and this scheme will benefit about 1.5 crore farmers of the state.
