Mumbai: On Tuesday, the Maharashtra government took an important decision. This step will bring relief to thousands of persons who were caught in legal trouble without any reason. In fact, the Home Department of the state has decided to withdraw all the cases registered against the student and other persons under IPC 188 for violating the rules due to the lockdown.

The same Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip W Patil said that this proposal will be placed before the cabinet for approval. From there, as soon as it gets permission, the process of withdrawing all the registered cases will start. One by one all the cases will be withdrawn. In fact, in view of the increasing cases of corona, the lockdown started across India from 24 March 2020. Gradually the lockdown increased for about 5 months. Not only this, even after the second wave of Corona came, the lockdown was imposed in 2021. Legal action was also taken to ensure strict compliance of the rules. Due to this, a case was registered against those who broke the lockdown under section 188 of the IPC.

At the same time, as soon as this proposal is approved by the cabinet, as soon as it is implemented, thousands of people will get its benefit. Actually, there are thousands of people on whom such cases are registered. Now when these cases are withdrawn, they will get freedom from going to court and police station. The tag of police action in his name will also be removed.
