Mumbai: The corona menace in the country is growing rapidly. Corona is setting a new record every day in India. Many lives are in danger at the moment. Meanwhile, restrictions like lockdown and night curfew are in force in several states of the country to control corona. You must be aware that maharashtra is also on the same list which is the worst affected state with corona. Now, restrictions like lockdown have come into force till 1st May. On the other hand, it is being said that the lockdown in Maharashtra is set to go further.
Recently, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said, "The lockdown is set to increase. The lockdown will be extended in the state even after April 30." He also said that "in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, all cabinet members have demanded an increase in lockdown. Let us also tell all of you that 63,309 new covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra last Wednesday during which 985 more people died. The health department has said that with the new cases, the number of infected people in the state has gone up to 44,73,394 and the death toll has gone up to 67,214. A total of 61,181 patients have been discharged during the last 24 hours. So far, 37,30,729 patients are said to have recovered and there are 6,73,481 active patients in the State. Moreover, in Mumbai, there were 4966 new cases of Covid-19 and 78 people died.
With the increase in lockdown, the restrictions will remain the same as they have already been. Private offices have been approved to be opened with 15% capacity. In addition, the number of guests at the wedding ceremony has been restricted to 25 and the use of public transport has been reserved only for government employees, medical professionals and those who need treatment.
