75 policemen infected in 24 hours, Malegaon becomes Corona's hotspot

Mumbai: While the number of corona patients in Maharashtra is increasing, policemen who are on duty during lockdown are also getting increasingly infected. So far, the number of coronas of policemen in the state has been crossed. In the last 24 hours, a total of 75 policemen have been found corona infected in the entire state, which is the largest figure so far in a day.

These infected include 9 police officers and 66 police personnel. The state's Malegaon has emerged as a new hotspot of coronavirus. 40 policemen doing duty in the containment zone here have been found corona infected. More precautions are being taken to protect policemen from corona infection. Aged policemen have been instructed to stay at home. Policemen who are on duty are being given medicines to enhance the immunity system. The DCP and Additional CP of each region have been instructed to counsel the policemen.

On Wednesday, 16 policemen were found corona infected at JJ police station in Mumbai, while 11 policemen were found positive before that. Altogether 27 policemen have fallen victim to Corona in this police station. Some policemen posted in Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail have been found corona infected. Treatment of positive policemen is going on in special hospitals. Most policemen are quarantined.
